Darwin C. Didio, 83, of Duncombe, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Marian Home.
A visitation to Celebrate the life of Darwin will be held on Wednesday, February 12th from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard on Wednesdayat 4:00 PM at the funeral home. A party and barbecue will be held later this summer at Brushy Creek.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 62 years Joyce; daughters, Pam (Tony) McFarland of Farnhamville, Diane (Joe) Geis, of Duncombe, and Dana (Craig) Graham of Webster City; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Darwin is preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen (Detman) Didio, sister, Beth Grebner, and nephew, Lance Grebner.
Darwin Clement Didio was born in Belmond IA on March 10, 1941. He was raised and educated in Dakota City. On July 6, 1962, he was united in marriage to Joyce Lennon, and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge, before moving to an acreage near Duncombe. Darwin worked for the City of Fort Dodge for 40-plus years working in various departments. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, trapshooting, and horseback riding. He loved his horses and his dogs.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
