David J. Crinnigan, 72, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at his home A Celebration of Dave's life will be held on Thursday July 16 from 4:00 till 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The family does ask that if have any symptoms or are feeling ill please do not attend and if possible to wear a face shield or mask. He is survived by his son Shane Crinnigan of Fort Dodge, daughter Amy Lund and her husband Justin of Casper, WY, and their children Mackenzie (Jason), Jack and Jayde and a great granddaughter Olivia, daughter Kelly Crinnigan (Nick Manwarren) of Fort Dodge and their children Calvin and Julia, son Tanner Crinnigan of Cedar Falls, brother Bill Crinnigan of Long Beach, CA, sisters, Carol Crinnigan of Fort Dodge and Sue (Joe) Black of Fort Dodge, nieces and nephews Addie Baedke, Joey Fleming, Hayley (Kevin) Venard, Ben Fleming, Ty (Ann) Tabat, Jay (Shanna) Black, Allix Black and Devon (Doug) Steinkamp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwayne and Vivian (Davis) Crinnigan, sister Annie Crinnigan and his nephew Patrick David Black. David John Crinnigan was born on July 5, 1947 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1966. He then attended Iowa Central Community College. In 1967, Dave was united in marriage to Dinah Bloom. The couple were later divorced. Through the early 1970's Dave owned and operated Crinnigan's Bar. On August 21, 1976, he was united in marriage to Nancy Mehlin and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. The couple were later divorced but remained close friends. Dave later owned and operated Apple Valley Paint and Repair until retiring in 2008. He enjoyed his time spent on his farm just west of town on the Lizard Creek. Dave truly treasured time spent with his family and friends. No one could tell a story or make you laugh like Dave could. He was a longtime friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
