David C. Peck, 52, of Fort Dodge, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Carmody officiating from New Covenant Christian Church. A visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. David is survived by his children, David (Cheyenne) Peck of Fort Dodge; Alexandria Peck of Clear Lake; step-daughter, Amber Bruns of Dallas, TX; grandson, Cylas Peck; mother, Marjorie Peck of Grimes; sisters, LaDonna (Steve) Bosma; Sheree (Duane) McClellan; Connie (Allen) Beeson; Julie (Steve) Montgomery; SaraLee (Brian) Peck; MariAnn (Don) Borgen; brother, Kivin (Julie) Peck and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Charles; step-grandson, Armani Jenkins; infant sister, Diane; great-nephews, Ryan Patton; Jonathon Durchenwald; and mentor, Chuck Keeney. David Charles Peck was born August 16, 1962 in Fort Dodge. He attended the public schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Dave was in the rental business for 44 years, including owning and operating Dave's Rental for 23 years. On September 7, 1996, he was united in marriage to Kim Clute in Fort Dodge; they later divorced. He had a passion for hot rods and motorcycles. Dave also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was always known as the, "Best darn small engine repairman in Fort Dodge!" Dave loved his kids so very much and family always came first. Memorials may be left in discretion to the family.
