Farnhamville- David Verge Bybee, 95, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville, with Pastor Jerry Raether officiating. Burial of casket will be at Reading Township Cemetery, Farnhamville, with a flag presentation by the American Legion Post #510 of Farnhamville. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie. David is survived by his sons, Michael (Eun) Bybee of Santa Fe, NM and Steven (Jean) Bybee of Mays Landing, NJ; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Berry of Seattle, WA and sisters-in-law, Lois Lacock of Lake City and Corinne Mandelko of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jedidiah and Leah (Kissler) Bybee; wife, Miriam Bybee; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Lacock and Melvin Mandelko. David V. Bybee was born January 2, 1924, in Pocatello, ID, where he was reared and educated. After his education, he served in the US Army during WWII and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was united in marriage to Miriam Dubbe on May 15, 1965, at Twin Falls, ID. The couple lived for several years in Peru, Paraguay, and Columbia while Dave worked as plant superintendents for various construction companies, building airports, pipe lines, and copper mines. In 1976, they relocated to Farnhamville where Dave owned and operated Bybee Welding for 20 years. Dave was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #510, and the Farnhamville Betterment Club. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
