David William Tracey

David W. Tracey, 71, of Coalville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, August 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. There will be a Vigil Prayer service on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. The family requests everyone to please dress casual.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Coralie Tracey of Coalville, daughter Angie (Scott) Kelley of Boone, son Chad Tracey of Otho, son Josh Tracey of Fort Dodge, daughter Fran Duncan of Boone, grandchildren Samantha, Carter, Chloe, Sayer, Spencer, and Pepper, great granddaughter Evelyn, brother Mike (Gail) Tracey of Mt. Pleasant, IA, sisters Patty (Leif) Glesne of Fort Dodge, Marie (Bok) Chung of Minnesota, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Frances (Patterson) Tracey, and his brother Richard Tracey.

David William Tracey was born on June 26, 1953, in Fort Dodge. He attended grade school at Holy Rosary School and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1971. On April 8, 1972, he was united in marriage to Coralie Malloy at Sacred Heart Church and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. For may years, Dave owned and operated Tracey Construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. Dave loved his wife more than anything else on earth. Time spent with his children and grandchildren was very important to him. Dave was also a Minnesota Vikings Fan. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge 806, where he held many different positions.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
