Dawn Renae McMahon, 64, of Otho, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2025, at her home. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday April 7, 2025, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. There will be a visitation at 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Kenny McMahon; her children, Danielle Steding, Christopher & Kristi Pierce, Becky & Dean Habhab, and Scott & Thera McMahon. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Rhonda & Randy Hoover, Joyce Halbach, Pat Rork, Mike & Nancy Rork, and Ron (Bronco) & Colleen Rork, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Leuer and Roy & Joyce Rork.

Dawn spent the majority of her life in Otho, where she attended Otho Elementary before continuing her education at Fort Dodge Junior/Senior High and Iowa Central Community College. She dedicated her time and talents to various workplaces, including Centerline, the Otho City Clerk's Office, Dollar Tree, and Goodwill.

Dawn had a passion for crafting and baking, always creating something special to bring joy to those around her. She found her greatest happiness in making lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A beacon of light and love, Dawn touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives she enriched.
