Deandre Lavar Presswood

DeAndre L. Presswood, 40, of Malabar, FL, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Fort Dodge, IA. DeAndre Lavar Presswood was born in Iowa city, Iowa at the University of Iowa Hospital to Eva (Tina) Presswood and James Pettigrew August 25, 1982. He attended high school in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in June of 2002. He received his Associates of Arts in Business Administration on March 23, 2020. He completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with Honors from Strayer University of Business Administration June of 2021. DeAndre was well accomplished and achieved many things during his life. DeAndre had the gentlest, loving, and kind spirit. He was deeply loved by his family, especially his grandma Florence M. Brown, also known as "Floncy B". If anyone knew DeAndre, he had a true love for music. He enjoyed making music in his studio and knew every song and artist. DeAndre was last living in Florida, where he spent a lot of time at the beach. He also had a love for pets DeAndre had passion for cooking and always came up with creative dishes. He mastered making the juiciest turkeys known to his family. If DeAndre's dishes made it to the Thanksgiving table, you know he had to be an excellent chef! DeAndre grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball. As a young boy through middle school, He was a loyal Raider fan. DeAndre and his brother Tony played Mario Brothers on Super Nintendo as kids. His sister Brittany and him shared a love for music. DeAndre had a million-dollar smile and would light up the room with his presence. He will be truly missed by his family, his son Jonathan, his girlfriend Virginia Rudd, and his entire family! DeAndre leaves behind his loved ones, his son Jonathan Thompson, mother Eva Presswood, father Jimmy Pettigrew (Kimberly Pettigrew), grandmother Florence Brown, brothers Tony Wilson and Brandon Pettigrew, sisters Brittany Wilson, Brie Pettigrew, Tarraha Young, girlfriend Virginia Rudd, uncles Edward (Timmy) Brown, Darryl Pettigrew, Merlin (Bo) Pettigrew, Chris Pettigrew, James Pettigrew (Kim), aunts Drewshell Pettigrew, Rhonda Pettigrew-Collins (Ronnie), Karen Pettigrew (Jesse), Lorrie Pettigrew (Thorpe), Tammy Pettigrew-Ziegler, great-uncle Johnnie C. Presswood (Jeanie Presswood), Robert Presswood, Eugene Presswood, great-aunts Claree Presswood and Merdine Presswood, nephew Jacob Wilson, niece Joy Wilson and Liv Ford, and a host of cousins and friends he was close to. DeAndre was a people person, so he was able to deeply connect with everyone that he encountered! DeAndre proceeded in death by his daughter Brianna Lyric Presswood, great-grandparents Jasper and Maudine Presswood, grandparents James & Barbara Pettigrew, grandfather Johnnie Henderson, uncle Steve Henderson, uncle Lonnie C. Presswood, aunts Etta Jean McLeod and Margie C. Presswood, and cousin Roderick McLeod and Colby Pettigrew.
