Debby S. "Van Scoy" Ausborn, 61, of Fort Dodge died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Madai Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Rockwell City. A visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Debby is survived by her sons, Brian Ausborn; Leon Clark; Justin Bolden; Nicholas Bolden; eighteen grandchildren; brothers, Randy Van Scoy; Jim Van Scoy and sister, Cindy Bass all of Rockwell City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Ruth (Curtis) Van Scoy; niece, Holly Jenkins and nephew, Shane Jenkins. Debby S. Van Scoy was born on April 5, 1953 in Rockwell City. She was raised in Rockwell City and graduated from Rockwell City High School. In 1971, she was united in marriage to Allen Ausborn and the couple established their home in Lake City. The couple later divorced. Debby then moved to Des Moines, where she volunteered many hours at the homeless shelter. In 2009, Debby moved to Fort Dodge. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, caring for animals and was always willing to help others. Most of all, Debby loved spending time with her family. Especially sharing her love with her grandchildren. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
