DeLorman "Chic" Eugene Tebay, 89, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27th in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour prior on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Survivors include his stepchildren Sylvia Spurlin, Robbie Gochee, Debra Kennedy, Melissa Dencklau, and Christopher Gochee, 18 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, sister Donna Cordes of Rochester, MN, brother Richard Tebay of Vacaville, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Maurine Buttolph Tebay, wife Mildred, sons David and Pete.
DeLorman Eugene Tebay was born on October 26, 1935, in Rochester, MN. Chic graduated from Rochester High School in 1954. Following his education, he sold insurance before joining the U.S. army serving from 1958 to 1960 until his honorable discharge. For a short time, Chic played football for the Minnesota Vikings. In 1974 he moved to Fort Dodge and attended Iowa Central Community College. On April 18, 1978, he was united in marriage to Mildred Robeson and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Chic worked at Pinkerton Security, IBP, Purolator, and Good Will Industries. Chic was a past member of Junior Chamber International Senate #9546 Rochester, MN, the Civitan Club, and Holy Rosary Church.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
