Dennis Magennis

Dennis M. Magennis, 61, of Fort Dodge died Monday, June 2, 2020 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Corpus Christi Church. Inurnment will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. Dennis Michael Magennis was born July 14, 1958 at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital the youngest of six children. He graduated from Saint Edmond Catholic High School in 1976. Denny was a lifelong resident of Fort Dodge and worked all his adult life for Mitchel Dental Laboratory in Fort Dodge. He was always a private person and enjoyed caring for his mother before her passing. Denny also enjoyed an occasional beer and low stakes card games. He was a loyal and long-suffering Oakland Raiders fan. Dennis is survived by his siblings, Mary Magennis of Rochester, NY; John Magennis of Des Moines; Elizabeth (Carl) Christensen of Urbandale; Patty (Randy) Ross of Overland Park, KS; Mark (Julie) Magennis of Platte City, MO; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Irene (Bilek) Magennis. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
