Denton W. Schoenbaum

Rockwell City Denton W. Schoenbaum 54, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Denton is survived by his children, Dan (Andrea) Schoenbaum of Dunnell, MN, Amber (Mike) Maloney of Rockwell City, Tyler (Misty) Sease of Rockwell City, Denise (Zach Jensen) Schoenbaum of Hartley, and Shelby (Christian Campbell) Sease of Rockwell City; 12 grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Joyce Archer Schoenbaum; and sister Judy Schoenbaum Boyce. Denton William Schoenbaum was born January 9, 1966 at Lake City, Iowa. He graduated from Rockwell City High School, with the Class of 1984. In 1985, Denton graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with a Diesel Mechanics degree. On May 1, 1993 he was united in marriage to Janiece Daisy and the couple later divorced. Denton worked for VanScoy Trucking for many years. In 1998, he owned and operated Schoenbaum Trucking.
