Diane Corrine Meyer-Mckee

Diane C. Meyer-McKee, 77, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Fonda. Burial will be in the Ferguson Cemetery near Lake View. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church in Fonda. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Diane C. Meyer, daughter of Arden and Maurine (Meyer) Hovey was born on August 12, 1937 in Algona. She graduated from Lone Rock High School in 1955 and later attended nursing school in Marshalltown where she received her L.P.N. degree. On September 7, 1957, Diane was united in marriage to Wayne F. Meyer in Algona. The couple briefly resided in Colorado Springs, CO and in California where Wayne was stationed with the U.S. Army. They then returned to Algona where they lived for several years, before moving to Lake View in 1974. Wayne passed away in 1987, and Diane was remarried to Robert McKee in 1988. Diane and Bob lived in Arizona and Council Bluffs, and then settled in Fonda. Bob passed away in 1999, and Diane continued to live in Fonda until 2014 when she entered the Villa Care Center. Diane belonged to First Lutheran Church in Fonda and had worked as an L.P.N. at the Kossuth County Hospital in Algona and later at Park View Manor in Sac City. Diane is survived by her daughters, Pam (Kevin) Hospelhorn of Auburn, and Kelli (Rod) Riessen of Fort Dodge; brother, John (Bethene) Hovey of Lone Rock; grandchildren, Britney (Eric) Geisler, Royce Riessen, Brice (Haleigh Wehr) Hospelhorn, Ryan Riessen, Jillian Hospelhorn, and Reid Riessen; and great-granddaughter, Bellamy. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne and Bob, and infant sons, Ryan and Bryan. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
