Don Larson

FARNHAMVILLE

Don A. Larson, 70, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Laufersweiler's Palmer & Sons Funeral Home, Gowrie, with Pastor Kay Christie officiating. A visitation will be noon Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Reading Township Cemetery, Farnhamville with military rites presented by the American Legion Post #510 Farnhamville AT A LATER DATE.

Don is survived by his son Wes Larson (Niki) of Farnhamville, grandchildren Wyatt and Tabatha, siblings June Urelius and Dennis Larson both of Farnhamville.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Eleanor (Bentson) Larson, brother-in-law Alan Urelius and sister-in-law Cathy Larson.

Don A. Larson was born December 19, 1954 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Farnhamville and graduated from Cedar Valley High School in 1973. He served in the United States Army from 1973 until 1975 and then Iowa National Guard from 1982 until 1987. Don operated Larson's Service in Farnhamville and then worked for Hawkeye Stages until retiring in 2014. Don was a member of First United Church, Farnhamville and volunteered for the Farnhamville Fire Department. He was a 45-year member of the American Legion and served at Adjutant for 25 years.
