Donald F Gray

Donald F. Gray, 63, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church where Rev. Joe Dillinger will officiate a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be held at a later date. A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Church on Thursday. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Donald is survived by his nieces, Deb (Chuck Neavin) Andersen of Fort Dodge; Diane (Loren) Helgevold of Fort Dodge; Sandy (Brian) Weir of Fort Dodge; Amy (Matt) Alcazar of Moorland; Karen (Brian) Yusko of Ohio; nephews, Brian (Rose) Mallaro of Minneaplois, MN; and Mike (Tracy) Mallaro of Cedar Falls; a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins; bother-in-law, Dan (Dorothy) Mallaro of Charles City; and sister-in-law, Polly Gray of Fort Dodge. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Anne (McDonough) Gray; sister, Patricia Mallaro; and brothers, James and Robert Gray. Donald F. Gray was born August 16, 1951. He went to Saint Edmond High School and graduated in 1969. Don then attended Iowa Central Community College. Don moved to Marysville, MO and earned his business degree from North West Missouri State. Following his education he managed various lumber companies for many years. Don then went to work for Piccadilly Restaurants all throughout the southern United States. In 2009, he retired and returned to Fort Dodge. Don was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be left in discretion to the family.
