Donald Wayne Dillard

Donald W. Dillard, 60 of Fort Dodge died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the Chapel of the Salvation Army in Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Donald is survived by his sons, Brooks Brookshire and his wife Buffy of Fort Dodge and Brenton Brookshire of Prosperity, SC; 7 grandchildren; and his sisters, Rosie (Dillard) Clayton of Clinton and Brenda Faye Dillard of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. and Annie (Seals) Dillard; and brothers, Willie C. Dillard; James E. Dillard; and Jimmy Dillard. Donald Wayne Dillard was born October 1, 1956 in Meridian, MS. He began his education in Meridian. In 1968, Don and his family moved to Fort Dodge where he continued his education in the Fort Dodge Public Schools. Don was employed with various construction companies in the Fort Dodge area. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and loved basketball and track. Recently, Donald had been working at the Salvation Army for the past five years. D. D. will be remembered for his big smile and heart and missed by many. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
