Donna J. Hennings

Donna J. Hennings, 88, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, February 10, 2015 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Lake City Cemetery. A visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donna is survived by her very special friends, Marvin Molitor and Joan Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie (Kraack) Hennings; sister, Geniece; and beloved dog, Benny. Donna June Hennings was born June 6, 1926 in Yetter, Iowa. She attended the local Yetter country schools and then graduated from Lake City High School. Donna worked as a lab technician for many years at both the Lake City Clinic and Hospital and the Carroll Clinics and Hospitals. In 2004, Donna moved to Fort Dodge to care for her sister, Geniece. Donna enjoyed fishing. She loved and cherished her dogs throughout her life. Above all, Donna cared for many people. Memorials may be left to Almost Home Human Society in Fort Dodge.
