Harcourt Donny D. "Don" Mullen 76, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Stratford Specialty Care in Stratford. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, Harcourt, with Pastor Rod Meyer officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Church until service time. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements. Donny is survived by his wife Virginia Mullen of Harcourt; son David Mullen of Black Diamond, WA; daughter Melissa (Stoney) Reeves of Rosharon, TX; grandchildren, Michael Mullen, Anthony (Amber) Mullen, Stephanie Wood, Hope Reeves, Max McKenney, and Ethan McKenney; great-grandchildren, Emma, Zachary, and Lincoln; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavern and Margaret (Rauch) Mullen. Donny D. Mullen was born May 16, 1945 at Deep River, Iowa. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High with the Class of 1963. On October 25, 1974 he was united in marriage to Virginia Shover and the couple established their home in Dayton. Donny worked for several Coop Elevators in several states from 1963 to 2008. In 2004, they returned to Iowa. Donny retired in 2008 and the couple made their home in Harcourt. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge, and the Order of Eastern Star.
