Dorian L. Cook, 82, of Rowlett, TX formerly of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her daughter's home in TX. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 29, 2021 in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Dorian is survived by her children, Allan (Linda) Cook of Ottumwa, David (Janet) Cook of Carroll, Beanna (Channo) Gaytan of Rowlett, TX, Tamre Worrel of Fort Dodge; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jerene Martin of Ogden, Kathleen McCombs of Ankeny, and Thomas Buckley of Ogden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Francis and Gladys (Hall) Buckley; in-laws, James and Lizzie Cook, brother, Gary Buckley; and infant son, Rex. Dorian Lea Buckley was born October 16, 1939 in Boone. As an infant, she moved with her family to Fort Dodge. She attended public schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Dorian worked for Globe Union for over 30 years and also worked at Target for many years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, leather work, macrame, and working with ceramics. The family enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
