Doris Lorrine Grell

Doris "Dot" L. Grell, 91, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 30th with Pastor Michael Carmody officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Doris is survived by her loving companion of 15 years Tom Brown of Fort Dodge, children Ronald (Rita) Grell of Moorland, Glenda (Kirk) Benson of Clare, Paula (Marv) Leffingwell, Mike (Vicky) Grell, 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and sister, Rosemary Case of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Grell in 2005, daughter Lynn Deal, infant daughter Carla, parents George and Violet (Krantz) Ferguson, grandsons Michael Benson and Chad Grell, and siblings Harold Ferguson and Irene Linn. Doris Lorrine Ferguson was born January 18, 1930 in Evanston. She attended schools in Evanston and later at Fort Dodge Senior High. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a member of New Covenant Christian Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Women's Bowling Association (WBA) for over 40 years. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
