Doris Marie Hansch

Doris M. Hansch, 89, of Duncombe, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2013 at the Washington Township Cemetery in Duncombe with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. There is no visitation. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Waugh of Bayard, NE; grandchildren, Jeannie Erickson of Pennsylvania; Jody Finks; great-grandchildren, Erica and Nicholas Finks all of California; brother, Duane (Joyce) Ness of Texas and one nephew and a niece. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2004; parents, Sam and Loretta (Goehring) Ness. Doris Marie Ness was born on August 31, 1924 in Colfax Township. She was educated in Duncombe, graduating from Duncombe High School in 1941. On November 25, 1941, Doris was united in marriage to Robert Hansch at the Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Thor area and later moved near Duncombe where they farmed for the next 9 years. In 1964, Doris and Robert became owners of H & K Lumber, which they operated until 1981. In 1982, they returned to farming until retiring in 1996. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Washington Lutheran Church.
