Douglas J. Lensing

Rockwell City Douglas J. Lensing 58, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at his home. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at the Calhoun County Historical Museum, 150 East High Street, Rockwell City, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Doug is survived by his daughters, Angel Lensing of Rockwell City, and Blair Lensing of Fort Dodge; granddaughter, Sophia; his mother Cathy Lensing of Rockwell City; and sister Dr. Denise Bohn (James) of Fort Calhoun, NE; nephews, Justin and Cory; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father James Lensing. Douglas James Lensing was born April 10, 1961 at Iowa City. He attended Rockwell City Schools and received his GED. He also attended trade school in Omaha. Doug worked various jobs including truck driver, body shop owner, the Roelyn Elevator, Swanson Hardware and was a mail carrier. Doug enjoyed his dogs, Tilly and Bitsy. He also enjoyed radio-controlled planes and helicopters.
