Earlene Reeves

Earlene Barbara Reeves (Fiala) age 86, of Fort Dodge passed away March 9, 2022 with her family by her side. Earlene's wishes were for her services to be private. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. She was born to the parents of Victor and Clara (Jondle) Fiala, September 1, 1935 in Fort Dodge. Graduated from Moorland Consolidated School in 1953. Attended Fort Dodge Junior College from 1953--1954. She married the late Larry Reeves in 1957 and they lived together in Otho for 58 years before moving to Fort Dodge. Earlene is survived by five children Kathy O'Brien of Fort Dodge, Jim Reeves and wife Kitty of Fort Dodge, Jerry Reeves of Otho, Dana Reeves and wife Kathy of Scottsdale, AZ, and Michelle Korte and husband Patrick of Altoona, late brother Marvin and wife MaryLou of Moorland, brother Irv and wife DyAnn of Callender. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Earlene was employed at Fort Dodge Community Schools, Hormel's, Reeves Trucking, and Fort Dodge Ag-Lime, and Friendship Haven. Earlene enjoyed gardening, shopping, dancing at the Bohemian Hall, and family gatherings. In lieu of flowers please donate to Unity Point Hospice or Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa.
