Edith Pearl Anderson

Edith P. Anderson, 83, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Joey Feldmenn officiating. Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be on Thursday, March 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Edith is survived by her children, Robert W. Dupuy of Williams; Katherine Jean (Jim) Hall of Fond du Lac, WI; Joyce M. (Dave) Bushore; Marilyn S. (Bill) Miller; John David Anderson; Charles L. Anderson; Deborah K. (Brian) Klinger, all of Fort Dodge; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; sister, Goldie Booth of Prairie City; and her brother, Marion Dupuy of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Marie Dupuy; husband, John; infant daughter and grandson; and brothers, Charles Dupuy and Harry Dupuy; and her sisters, Elsie Myers and Lois Stillwell. Edith P. Dupuy was born July 23, 1933 in Stuart, IA. She grew up in Guthrie County and went to Jefferson High School. Edith moved in 1952 to Fort Dodge and worked at Globe Union until 1976. She was united in marriage to John Anderson on March 30, 1954 at First Christian Church in Des Moines. She also was employed with the drive-in theatre, Des Moines Register Delivery, and Aladdin's Castle. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
