Edward (Ed) Benjamin Breeden, Jr., the son of Edward Sr. and Thelma (Jermeland) Breeden, was born on July 30, 1931 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge public schools. Ed was united in marriage to Rose Jean Williams on September 2, 1950 in Fort Dodge. They made their home here in Fort Dodge, where they raised three daughters. Besides his dedication to his family, he also dedicated 50 years of his life to his job at North Lawn Cemetery. He was grounds and maintenance supervisor for all of those years, and he took great pride in that title. He took care of those grounds the same way as he would take care of his own home. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, as he had to have things looking just so. He also enjoyed fishing, football, NASCAR, and was also quite the chef behind the grill. His family was his heart, so making sure everyone was well taken care of, was at the top of his priorities. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. He will be greatly missed but take peace in knowing that he is with his loving wife now. Survivors include his daughters, Rose (Russ) Winchester, Lori Jo Breeden, and Kerri (Tom) Holm all of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren, Corey Keigher of Monticello, IN, Patrick (Sarah) Mickler of Bradley, IL, Matthew Mickler of Manteno, IL, and Tommy Holm of Fort Dodge; two step-grandchildren, Jared Holm and Lindsey Holm both of Fort Dodge; 8 great-grandchildren and also two step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Madalyn Rank of Lake View; brothers, John Breeden and Dan Breeden of Fort Dodge, Robert (Bob) Breeden of Gowrie and Donald Lee Breeden of Humboldt. He also left behind his crazy dog Charlie, whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose; his parents; two brothers, Davey Ray and Jimmy; two sisters, Darlene Marsh and Donna Deal; brother-in-law, Paul Williams; granddaughters, Tami (Keigher) Wessel and Misty Mickler. Memorials may left to the discretion of the family. Visitation Fri, Apr 11, 2014 at 12:30 pm Chapel of Peace Mausoleum Service Fri, Apr 11, 2014 at 1:30 pm Chapel of Peace Mausoleum
