Elizabeth Jane Fridholm

Elizabeth "Betty" J. Fridholm (Leiss), 91, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28th at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Roy) Freed of Tucson, AZ; sons, Thomas (Kay) Leiss of Omaha, NE; Randy (Connie Tyrrell) Leiss of Fort Dodge; Timothy (Sandie) Leiss of Fremont, NE; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Loretta (Harrington) Stiles, husband Richard Fridholm in 1995, brothers, Donald, Edwin "Jake", and Dale Stiles; sisters, Marie Stiles, Marge Newby, Angela Hurley, and Catherine Hendrickson. Elizabeth J. Stiles was born on October 12, 1922 in Webster County. She was born and raised and lived most of her life in Fort Dodge. In 1966, she was united in marriage to Richard Fridholm and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Elizabeth was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family or the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
