Elizabeth "Liz" Coppinger, 86, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sunday, August 22nd, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church with Rev. Brian Feller and Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. She is survived by her children, Tim (Doreen) Coppinger of Barnum, Tom (Fiona) Coppinger of Celbridge, Ireland, and Mary (Kirk) Yung of Fort Dodge; daughter-in-law, Saipin Coppinger of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Erin (Jeremiah) Rossmanith, Andy Coppinger both of Barnum, Rachel (Taylor) Russell of Chicago, IL, Conor and Matthew Coppinger of Celbridge, Ireland, Michael (Sonja) Yung of West Des Moines, Thomas (Catharine) Yung of Ankeny, Ryan Yung and Anna Yung both of Des Moines and Patrick Coppinger of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Rossmanith of Barnum, Julia and Anna Lucy Yung of Ankeny, and Gracelynn Yung of West Des Moines; sisters, Mary Troup of Keizer, OR, Marie (Johnny) Myers of Orofino, ID; sisters-in-law, Darlene McNeilly, Denise McNeilly, Barbara McNeilly, Marianne Weiss and Sharon Coppinger; special niece, Lois Roggenkamp and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Almina (Donohoe) McNeilly; husband, Roger in 2002; son, Terry Coppinger in 1993; brothers, Bob, Jim, Dick, John, Kenny, Tom, Ed, and Leo McNeilly; sister, Vera Hunt; sisters-in-law, Eleanor McNeilly, Echo McNeilly, Catherine McNeilly, and Elizabeth McNeilly; brothers-in-laws, John Hunt, Richard Troup; nieces, Eva McNeilly and Annie Holden; nephews, Jeffery Myers and Bill Holden. Elizabeth Ann McNeilly was born February 6, 1935, in Fort Dodge. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1953. Liz was united in marriage to Roger Coppinger on June 19, 1953 at Sacred Heart Church. The couple made their home and raised their family on farms near Barnum for close to 50 years, building a successful farming operation through hard work and dedication to one another. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America for 50+ years, Holy Trinity Parish, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Liz was an extremely faithful and loving person who was proud of her Irish heritage, but most of all proud of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Holy Trinity Parish, St. Edmond Catholic Schools, Marian Home, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
