Ellen L. Reeve, 88, of McAllen, TX, formerly of Gilmore City, IA, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburgh, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 10:30 A.M. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Fort Dodge, IA, with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Ellen is survived by her children, Mary Chism (James) of McAllen, TX; Robert Reeve (Kathlyn) of Rocklin, CA; Beverly Reeve of Omaha, NE; and JoEllen Gillespie (Jeffrey) of Brandon, FL; ten (10) Grandchildren and fourteen (14) Great Grandchildren and her sister, Rita Koll of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howell, her parents, Lewis and Elizabeth (Hannon) Goodrich, and infant son, Daniel Reeve. Ellen Louise Goodrich was born on April 9, 1926 in Lehigh. She attended Lehigh Elementary School and then transferred and graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1943. On June 24, 1945 Ellen was united in marriage to Howell C. Reeve and the couple made their home in Center Moriches, NY. From 1946 to 1967 the couple lived in Gilmore City; from 1967 to 1982 Papillion, NE; then back to Gilmore City from 1982 to 1991. Her loving husband, Howell, passed away in 1991 and then Ellen moved to McAllen, TX.
