Elmer Case

Elmer A. Case, 92, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Private family services will be held at later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include daughter Tammy (Mark) Oester of Fort Dodge, daughter Kim (Drew) of Phoenix, AZ, son Kevin Case of Phoenix, AZ, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer E. and Eva B. (Stevens) Case. Elmer Arlo Case was born on July 20, 1927 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here. From 1945 to 1946 he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII until his honorable discharge and he returned to Fort Dodge. Elmer was a career professional printer working at Fort Dodge Messenger, Des Moines Tribune, Joselyns, Clark's and Jifi Print until retiring in 1989. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and loved his family. Elmer was an avid sports fan following the Cardinals and the Cubs. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be left to the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
