Elsa M. Lerma

Elsa Lerma, 57, of Fort Dodge, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Fort Dodge Health and Rehab. Private family services will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Elsa is survived by her father, Simon Ochoa; children, Laura; Lorenzo; and Lazara Lerma; siblings, Elias Ochoa; Simon Ochoa; Yolanda Ochoa; Leticia Caballero; Norma Rangel; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel in 2009; and mother, Eva Mata. Elsa Ochoa was born April 1, 1959 in Lubbock, TX. Her family moved to Des Moines when she was young, and she attended and graduated high school in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Manuel Lerma on March 31, 1980 in Des Moines. They resided in Des Moines, and Elsa was employed with various Nursing Homes as a Caregiver and worked at many Daycare Centers. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
