Everett F. Field, 95, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Friendship Haven. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 27th at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fort Dodge. Burial will be at Callender Cemetery, Callender. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Palmer and Sons Funeral Home in Gowrie. Survivors include his wife Beverly of Fort Dodge, sons Bill Field of Lehigh, John (Jennifer) Field of Callender, daughters Barbara (John) Winkels of Alden, Susan (Alan) Haberl of Nevada, 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ethel (Loehr) Field, daughter Julie Halverson, grandson Nathan Field, brother Maurice Field. Everett F. Field was born on July 17, 1926 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in the Moorland and Callender area, graduating from Moorland High School in 1944. Everett then attended Fort Dodge Junior College. From January of 1945 to July of 1946, he served in the U. S. Navy. On June 18, 1950 he was united in marriage to Beverly Wise, and the couple made their home on a farm near Callender. Everett farmed until retiring in 1989. He served on several boards in his community including the School, 4-H, and the telephone board. For 30 plus years he was a member of the United Church of Christ in Moorland, where her served as the Moderator for many years, taught Sunday School, and served on several boards. Everett was able to partake in the Brush Creek Honor Flight which was very special for him. He enjoyed being a member of P.I.C.A. and was currently a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fort Dodge. Memorials may be left to discretion of the family.
