Francisco Visedo, 69, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at home after fighting a brief, but courageous, battle with pancreatic cancer. Francisco is survived by his wife, Pam, daughter Emily Visedo, son-in-law Anthony Visedo, and grandchildren AJ and Amelia Visedo of White Bear Lake, MN. He is also survived by his sister Ximena Zacarias and mother Alicia Visedo, both of Miami, FL. In addition, he is survived by his Bachman sister and brother in-laws, Cindy of Des Moines, IA, Lane of Lake City, IA, Brett of Ft. Dodge IA, Todd of Sac City IA, Scott of Charlotte, NC, Colin of Miami, FL, Tony of Early, IA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Francisco Visedo, lifelong childhood family housekeeper Rosita, sister-in-law Diane Cook and mother and father-in-law Joleen and Edwin Bachman. Francisco was born and raised in Santiago Chile and came to Fort Dodge, Iowa as an international exchange student in 1977. He met Pam Bachman shortly thereafter. They were united in marriage in 1984 and had their daughter Emily. They were later divorced but remained in close contact over the years and eventually remarried. One of his greatest loves was for the state of Iowa. This was his "home" and he was so grateful that God made it possible for him to achieve all of his dreams here, starting with the birth of his daughter and becoming a father. He had a passion for driving and that dream came true when he not only learned how to drive the big rigs but became an owner operator for 35 years, most recently retiring as a Linehaul contractor with Fed Ex. His other passion was being a fireman and that dream came true when he became a volunteer fireman with the Badger Fire Dept for almost 20 years. Another dream was to be in law enforcement and he got a good taste of that by becoming a member of the Sherriffs Reserves for several years. And last, but not least, his passion to be a cowboy. Even tho he was only a "wannabe cowboy" he enjoyed his horses, the rodeos and parades immensely with his cowboy buddies and along with his daughter. Francisco's life was quickly taken short but in his final days he reflected on two things: The fact that he was so grateful for the life he was given but also the thing that hurt him the most. With tears in his eyes, having to accept that he was not going to be able to watch his grandkids grow up, the two little people for whom he lived life for. Memorials given will be gifted to the Badger Fire Department by the family as requested by Francisco.
