Gary David Evans

Gary David Evans, 56, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sunday January 21, 2024, at the University of Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Snook, officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Survivors include his children son Cory White of Sioux City, daughter Shaina Evans of Des Moines, daughter Miranda Evans of Des Moines, grandson Benjamin, mother Ruth Evans of Fort Dodge, brothers Devon (Donita) Evans of Fort Dodge, Kyle (Amy) Evans of Sioux City, sisters Julie Mulder of Atlantic, and Jaime (Keith) Colt of Akron, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad Gary Dale Evans in 2023.

Gary David Evans was born on October 19, 1967, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated here until the family moved to Sioux City where he finished his high school education. Gary worked various jobs throughout his life. One of his favorites was operating a forklift. He enjoyed playing pool, cribbage, and trips to casinos. Gary appreciated the time spent with dad refinishing old furniture. He loved his family. Gary also liked to go mushroom hunting and antiquing and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Dallas Cowboys fan.
