Genevia Mae Knutson

Genevia M. Knutson, 78, of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Fort Dodge Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 10:30 Friday, January 30, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Genevia is survived by her children, Selina Wastun; Thane Hanson; Raymond Knutson all of Fort Dodge; 8 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Verla "Doll" (Evans) Hanson; sisters, Charlotte Hanson; Tressa Garcia; Irene Lankford; and brother, Bud Hanson. Genevia Mae Hanson was born in Lehigh on October 21, 1936. She attended school there. She was united in marriage to Ray Knutson December 24, 1975 and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Genevia was a loving homemaker. She loved playing cards and Bingo. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
