Gloria Lawler

Gloria K. Lawler, 90, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Friendship Haven. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 9 at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM prior to the Mass at the church. Gloria is survived by her granddaughters, Lindsay Grady (Justin) and Allison Rial (Dave) of Fort Dodge, Tara Surprenant (Scot) of Altoona, and Tenae Crandall (Adam) of Hampton; grandson, Tyson Crandall (Holly) of Ames; sister, Marion Burns of California; son-in-law, Mike Crandall of Hampton; daughter-in-law, Kathy Lawler of Fort Dodge; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Flossie (Fitzsimmons) Schuller; husband, Francis Lawler; daughter, Cheryl Crandall; son, Tim Lawler; great-great grandson, Mavrick Daniels and siblings; Chuck, Jim, Donna, Joyce and Daniel. Gloria was born December 8, 1930, in Morristown, MN, where she was raised and later graduated from Fairbault High School. On September 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Francis Lawler and to this union, Cheryl and Tim were born. The couple later established their home in Fort Dodge where Francis passed away in 1973. Gloria met Gib Dapper in 1978 and the couple were together until Gib passed away in 2002. Gloria worked at the Fort Dodge Labs until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed golf and playing cards with friends. Gloria was a PICA volunteer and an active member of Corpus Christi Church. She loved her family unconditionally and her love will be forever cherished. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
