Greta J. Yetmar, 87, of Clare, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Clare. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Corpus Christi Church. Greta is survived by her children Susan (Rick) Hotz of Clare, Kathleen (Kevin) Mayer of East Windsor, NJ, and Marcia (Chad) Doty of Lakeville, MN, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with 1 more on the way, sisters-in-law Kay Yetmar of Clare and Mary McMahon of Overland Park, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents Clare and Mary (Dale) Guthrie, husband, Patrick Yetmar, daughter Karen Ulrich, infant daughter Laura. Greta Joanne Guthrie was born April 21, 1933 in Lehigh. The family moved to Des Moines and she later moved to Clare in 1952. On November 22, 1952 she was united in marriage to Charles Duane Ulrich. To this union were born 2 children Susan and Karen. Charles passed away in 1958. On August 6, 1966 she was united in marriage to Patrick Yetmar at St. Matthew's Church and the couple made their home on a farm near Clare. For 21 years she was employed with Heartland Communications in the sales department. She was always involved with helping on the farm and was great caretaker to her family. Greta truly enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching college football and basketball along with her Minnesota Twins baseball games. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
