Fort Dodge Gwendolyn Fay Lambert, 82, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at the Simpson Health Center, Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at First Covenant Church, Fort Dodge with Pastor Allan Redenius officiating. Burial will be in Lost Grove Township Cemetery, Harcourt. A visitation will be one hour prior at the Church. Palmer Funeral Home Gowrie is serving the family. Fay is survived by her daughters, Connie (Bill) Kahl of Burnside, Sharlene (Mike) Vandi of Lehigh, Justine (Kenny) Martin of Burnside, Vicki (Barney) Barnett of Harcourt, and Gail (Patrick) OConnor of Huxley, 12 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Carrie (Carmack) Presley and her husband, Dennis Lambert. Gwendolyn Fay Lambert was born October 21, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio. She was raised and educated in the Toledo, Ohio area. She was united in marriage to Dennis A. Lambert on February 27, 1954 in Toledo. They moved and made their home in the Harcourt area. They also farmed in the area until 1986. Fay worked in retail management for a number of years. She then provided in-home cleaning services for over 20 years. Fay was a member of Lanyon Covenant Church. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
