Harley V. Foster, 81, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A Celebration of Harley's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26th in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. John Sersland, St. Olaf Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery with U.S. Flag presentation by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sons, Harley Foster Jr. and his wife Michelle and Kelly Foster and his wife Marsha both of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Matthew Foster; Melissa Belthius (Bob); Christopher Foster (Katie); Samantha Foster; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Madeline Foster; Abigail and Andrew Belthius; and Evan Dencklau. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Louise Foster; parents, Charles and Edna (Steburg) Foster; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Harley Vern Foster was born on May 20, 1933 in Fort Dodge where he attended schools. In April of 1953, he enlisted with U.S. Army and served until his honorable discharge in April of 1955. On October 14, 1955 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Luth and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Harley was longtime employee for U.S.G. retiring after 33 years. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
