Rockwell City Harold F. Heebner 95, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Fort Dodge Nursing & Rehab, Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Rockwell City, with Father Lynn Bruch officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Rockwell City Veterans Organization. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City with a Parish Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Vigil for the deceased at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Harold is survived by his daughters, Margaret Heebner, and Diane Jagels both of Fort Dodge; son Mark (Laura) Werner of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Ann Jagels, Mark Jagels, Matt Werner, and Adam Werner; great-granddaughter Makayla Jagels; sister Delores Mueggenberg of Storm Lake; and brother Paul Heebner of Spencer; He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Heebner; his parents, Charles and Anna Miller Heebner; sisters, Maverette Roberts, and Pauline Hammen; and son-in-law Daryl Jagels. Harold F. Heebner was born October 9, 1924 at Rockwell City, Iowa. He graduated from Rockwell City High School, with the Class of 1942. Harold served in the United States Army during World War II where he was stationed in the Philippines until his honorable discharge in 1947. On July 24, 1948 he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Condon at Pomeroy, Iowa. The couple farmed for 47 years in the Jolley and Twin Lakes areas until moving into Rockwell City in 1995. Harold also worked as a meat cutter on weekends for Clarks Grocery for 25 years. Mary Elizabeth passed away in 2003. Harold was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the VFW, and the Farm Bureau.
