Hazel Marie Conley, 78, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday July 1, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Somsen, Chaplain at Unity Point Health, officiating. A visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Monday at the funeral home. Hazel is survived by her husband, Paul; sons, Rick Carlson and his wife Sheila; Jeroll "Sam" Conley; daughter, Ronna Schamerhorn and her husband Mark, all of Dublin, GA; 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eleanor (Tabb) Bohn; grandsons, Pat Conley and John Conley; two brothers and one sister. Hazel Marie Bohn was born on October 19, 1934, to Joseph and Eleanor Bohn in Manson. She was educated in Pomeroy and Manson Schools, graduating from Manson High School. Following her education Hazel was a secretary at National Gypsum and Globe Union. She had also worked as an aid at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge. She married Paul Conley and the couple were self-employed working side by side for over 40 years. Hazel was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Family was the most important thing to Hazel. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Visitation Service
