Helen Louise Miklo

Helen L. Miklo, 92, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, March 18th at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 at Holy Trinity Church. Private burial will follow. A visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. until the beginning of the mass at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include her sons, Kerry and his wife Kaye of Fort Dodge, Tom and his wife Connie of West Des Moines, Dave and his wife Dawn of Fort Dodge, 5 grandchildren; Bill (Shannon) Miklo of Ankeny, Tyler (Lindsay) Miklo of Grimes, Melissa (Mike) Eisenbarth of Humboldt, Katie (Greg) Gallo of Clive and Cory(Liz) Miklo of Fort Dodge and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Taylor, her sisters Norma (Selmer) Mickelson and Milly (Robert) Netland, granddaughter Lynn, grandson Curt and her husband Joseph Miklo. Helen Louise Taylor was born in Fort Dodge on March 11, 1931. She attended schools in Fort Dodge graduating from Fort Dodge High School in 1949. On November 5, 1949 she was united in marriage to Joe Miklo at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Helen worked for Fort Dodge Laboratories for nearly 30 years before retiring in the mid 90's. Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. She was also a past member of the Rosarians of Holy Rosary Parish, a volunteer for many years at the Saint Edmond Catholic School Development Office and a past member of the Red Hats. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's many activities. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
