Helen M. Vojak, 87, of Fort Dodge, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Helen's wishes were to be cremated. A private family service will be held. The Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include her daughter, Shelley Parker, grandchildren, Reagan (Sarah) Parker, Cooper (Jessica) Parker; great grandchildren, Madisen, Cole, Raleigh and Jovie; stepchildren, Suzanne Vojak (Woody); Lavonne Vojak (Herb); Sharyn Harrington, and Cyril (Robin) Vojak; as well 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Her dog Lucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar "Red" and Ruth M (Smith) Johnson and her husband Cyril "Cy" Vojak. Helen Johnson was born on August 20, 1927 in Altamont, IL. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High 1945 and lived in New Mexico until she came back and established her home in Fort Dodge in 1950. She owned and operated the Terrace Lounge till her retirement. She was united in Marriage to Cy on September 7, 1978. She enjoyed bowling and playing golf and was proud of her hole-in-one on the 13th hole of the Fort Dodge Country Club golf course. She always hosted the best parties for her friends and family. She loved her time with her grandchildren at the pool and around the house. Memorials may be left to Almost Home Humane Society.
