Helen Rose Elsen

Helen R. Elsen, 90, of Fort Dodge, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at Grandview Care Center, Dayton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with her nephew, Rev. Jim McAlpin officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Palmer. A visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Helen Rose Elsen was born September 6, 1925 in Palmer, Iowa to Charles and Julia (Keleher) Elsen. One of eleven children, she is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Mary McAlpin; Irene Toben; Charles Elsen; Louis Elsen: Maxine Sullivan; Maurice Elsen; Richard Elsen; Donald Elsen; and Betty Bednar. Helen is survived by her sister, Norma Frakes of Panama City, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
