Howard F. Ewing, 84 of Fort Dodge, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Marian Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12th at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the church.
Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Howard is survived by his children, Christine (Mark) McCrady, Brenda (Tim) Ivory, William (Julie) Ewing and Karen (Brian) Pingle all of Fort Dodge; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Kathy Gobeli of Fort Dodge, Mary Fitzgerald of TX; and brothers Ralph Ewing of Fort Dodge, and Gary Ewing of Highland Ranch, CO.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Cecelia (Conley) Ewing, brothers Rober and Charles Ewing, and sisters Ann Snyder, Rosemary Newby, and Charlotte Leiss.
Howard Francis Ewing was born on May 11, 1940, in Duncombe. He was raised and educated south of Duncombe and graduated from Lehigh High School in 1959. Howard served in the National Guard from 1955 until 1958. On July 2, 1960, he was united in marriage to Marlene McGough and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. The couple later divorced. Howard worked for Iowa Beef until they closed in 1980. He then worked various construction jobs for many years. In 2007, he retired from Electrolux after 21 years of service. He enjoyed a good meal, keeping his house, car and flowers always meticulous, and loved time spent his family Howard was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
