Ivadelle Praim

GOWRIE Ivadelle F. Praim, 90, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Simpson Health Center at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at United Methodist Church, Gowrie with Pastor Susan Rohden officiating. Burial will be in Gowrie Township Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie. Ivadelles son, Timothy Praim passed away August 28, 2019. His services will be combined with his mothers. Ivadelle is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nola Praim of Norcross, GA; grandchildren, Christopher (Candice) Praim and Emily Praim; great-grandchildren, Christian and Teegan; brother-in-law, Dale Gerken of Fort Dodge; sister-in-law, Sandra Shaw of Ogden; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Mamie (Garvey) Shaw; daughter, Pamela Sue Praim; son, Timothy Praim; sisters, Judy Gerken and Bonnie Rowe; brother, Richard D. Shaw; half-sister, Betty Gray and half-brother, Walter Gray. Ivadelle was born on April 28. 1929 in Gowrie. As a child she moved to Colorado Springs and graduated from Palmer High School in 1947. In 1950, she returned to Gowrie. Ivadelle worked as a nurses aide from 1964 to 1994, starting at Mercy Hospital and later Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge. She also volunteered at Trinity Regional Medical Center for 10 years. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Gowrie. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
