Ivan C Andersen

Ivan C. Andersen, 88, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31st, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Private burial will be at later date at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Ivan is survived by his sons, Kevin Andersen; Dean Andersen both of Fort Dodge; granddaughter, Brittany Andersen, and grandson, Bryce Andersen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Soren and Ellen (Erickson) Andersen; wife, Rosalie Bradley in 1998; one brother and one sister. Ivan C. Andersen was born August 7, 1928 in Gilmore City. After his education, Ivan served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, Ivan was united in marriage to Rosalie Bradley and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. He first worked for New Idea for 13 years before working for the City of Fort Dodge. Ivan retired in 1993. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
