Jacqueline L. Johanson

Jacqueline Linnea Johanson, 57, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Rolling Hills Community Church with Rev. David Barton and Rev. Paul Wood, officiating. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Rolling Hills Community Church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Jacque is survived by her mother, Joan (Halligan) Johanson; brother, David Johanson and his wife, Loretta; niece, Kimberly all of Boynton Beach, FL; many cousins and friends. Jacque was preceded in death by her father, Theodore "Ted" Johanson. Jacqueline was born January 7, 1959. She was raised in Gowrie and graduated from Prairie Community High School in 1977. She then attended Iowa Central Community College where she was active in musical theater groups. She enjoyed the Disco Era; dancing with friends and teaching many to "disco". Jacque was employed for many years in the Fort Dodge trucking industry as a dispatcher. She was manager of Fort Dodge MANPOWER Temporary Services and was recognized numerous times for increasing business. Jacque joined Toastmasters International when she was 18. Over the years she served as every club officer and was an Area or Division Governor numerous times. She was District 19 (Iowa) Governor. She attended numerous regional and international Toastmaster conventions and was active in the campaigns for many International Directors and Presidents. She chartered many new Toastmasters clubs in Iowa and fostered a worldwide network of friends. Throughout Jacque's life she was a great pet lover. She had everything from horses, to a goat, cats, dogs, and even a pet skunk. She loved to rodeo and competed with her beloved horse and best friend, Pal. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
