Jane L. Fawcett

Jane L. Fawcett, 71, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery on the Lizard. Jane is survived by her children, Michelle Vought ( Jeff) of Somers; David of Thor; Beth Habben (Chad) of Palmer; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank; Fred; Matt; Joe Vanderhoff; sisters, Kathy Bendixen and Mary Dawson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Lucille (Grice) Vanderhoff; husband, Michael; three brothers, son-in-law, Danny Wendell II. Jane Louise Vanderhoff was born March 2, 1946 in Clare, Iowa. She attended St. John's Catholic Schools in Gilmore City and after graduation she attended Iowa Central Community College. Jane was united in marriage to Michael Fawcett on July 22, 1967 and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. For 45 years, Jane was employed as a Psych Tech at Trinity Regional Medical Center. After her retirement, Jane worked at Butler Elementary School for four years in food service. She was also a loyal member of the Moose Lodge. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
