Jane Wilson

Farnhamville - Jane A. Wilson, 77, passed away Sunday November 10, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday November 14, 2024, at First United Church in Farnhamville with Pastor Kay Christie officiating. Burial will follow at Reading Township Cemetery in Farnhamville. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday November 13, 2024, at Laufersweiler, Palmer & Sons Funeral Home in Gowrie.

Jane Ann Heflin was born on March 28, 1947, in Lake City, Iowa. She graduated from Cedar Valley School in 1965. On August 20, 1966, she was united in marriage to Raymond Wilson at the United Methodist Church in Paton. The couple lived in Gowrie until moving to Farnhamville in 1974. Jane worked various jobs including the Gowrie Café, and the Webster County Home as an aide. She ran the trucking business side by side with her husband, "Breezy". Jane later worked as the librarian at the Farnhamville Library for 25 years, and then as a CNA for the Calhoun County Health Department for 14 years until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and involved in many committees. She also served on the Farnhamville City Council for 19 years and was president of the Farnhamville Centennial Committee.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo (Alan) Klein of Evansville, WI, and Brenda Kromrie of Gowrie; 5 grandchildren, Adam (Tami Williams) Klein, Jason Klein, Maureen (Luke) Hainzinger, Blake (Kylee) Kromrie, and Kylan (Sammi) Muzney; 5 great grandchildren, Payton, Taytum, Raymond, Wesley, and Claire; and her brother, Steven (Darleen) Heflin of Brooklyn, IA.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, parents, Randal and Mary (Gray) Heflin, sisters, Pam Lindgren and Rosemary Stickrod, and nephew, Tony.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
