Janet Kaiser

Janet Kaiser, 87, of Fort Dodge died Monday, December 6, 2021 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 13th at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. Janet is survived by her husband Richard, children Joan Temple of Fort Dodge, Doug and his wife Karen of Spirit Lake, Keith and his wife Susan of Austin, MN, 5 grandchildren Emily, Matt, Alex, Megan, and Andrew, 8 great-grandchildren Shylen, Cohen, Isla, Kate, Weston, Isaiah, Keegan, and Kinnick, sisters Theresa Fleege of Fort Dodge and Linda Driscoll of Parchment, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wes and Mildred (Derr) Poduska, brothers Richard and Dennis Poduska and sister Dolores Wilson. Janet Poduska was born in Pocahontas on September 25, 1934. She was united in marriage to Richard Kaiser on June 11, 1955 in Sacred Heart Church in Pocahontas. The couple eventually made Fort Dodge their home. Janet worked as a secretary for Corpus Christi Church for over 32 years retiring in 1997. She enjoyed golfing, card club, trips to Okoboji, and polka dancing. Janet loved time spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
