Jean Margaret Golberg

Jean M. Golberg, 84, of Duncombe, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Windsor Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, and 11:30 at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Duncombe. A visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Jean is survived by her sons, Dick (Glenda) Golberg of Webster City; Jack Golberg of Duncombe; Will (Angie) Golberg of Des Moines; daughter Terri (Rodney) Brown of Urbandale; her sister and best friend, Mary Lou (Ed) Rauen of Rochester, MN; brothers, David (Pat) Jordan of Winnecon, WI; Paul Jordan of Kasson, MN; Jerry (Linda) Jordan of Woodstock, IL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence and DeVera (Stevenson) Jordan; husband, Eugene; son, Joseph Golberg; brothers, Jack Jordan and Richard Jordan. Jean Jordan was born May 27, 1930 in Rochester, MN. She attended schools and graduated from Stewartville High School in MN. Jean married Eugene Golberg on June 30, 1950 in Stewartville, MN. In 1952, the couple moved to Otho, IA; and they later made their home in Duncombe; IA. She worked at Tony's Famous Lounge, Fort Dodge Country Club, and later Electrolux for 17 years. She was a volunteer for People Against Cancer. Jean enjoyed playing cards, traveling, fishing, and dancing. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
